The Problematic of the Unproblematic

kakashi: In this episode, Jin Mi gets all the good things. panda: She does look very happy in the below pic. JoAnne: That grape's got nothing to feel sad about.

kakashi: Fun, fun, fun, any episode with Lord Puchi in it is a winner - and Jin Mi hitting puberty (kind of) and doing disobedient things on top is gold. Fans of Nighty will also have a field day. JoAnne: This drama is starting to look like an early 80s music video. Panda: *sings and dances to the Boogie Woogie*

kakashi: Phoenix has declared his love! As early as episode 8! Is it downhill from here? Oh yes. Do you hear this sound? It's the sound of Phoenix's heart being shattered. JoAnne: It's such a quiet, defeated sound. He doesn't rage, he accepts it. That just makes the whole thing more sad, I think. Panda: I was just talking about angst scenes in the last episode, had no idea it would start so soon.

kakashi: I'll have what she's having. Panda: LOOL, it does look lit. JoAnne: I don't know, that kind of looks like a hangover in the making.

kakashi: In the last episode, we had swords. In this episode, we have...a sassy Demon Princess! And much, much more. Read on, my friends. JoAnne:  That is the look of a princess who understands subtext...or at least it's the look of a woman who knows she's now got two hot guys to play with. Panda: The Demon Princess is a firm favorite.

kakashi: I really like it when men brandish great swords. JoAnne: Yeah, but they have to know what they're doing, otherwise it's just awkward. Panda: Oooooh great ridged swords, sign me up.

kakashi: Jin Mi's cluelessness continues, I find it extremely amusing. But then, this episode takes a rather unexpected turn! panda: this was a fun episode. JoAnne: I get distracted by a costume in this episode. Was it supposed to be skin? Totally .

kakashi: I loves me a petty, sexy man - and so does Jin Mi, but sadly, she doesn't know what love is. A very funny episode, which just endeared everyone even more to me. Panda: He is so petty! Loooooooooooooool JoAnne : They're all pretty but kind of dumb.

kakashi: Fated meetings, red strings - and our Grape has no clue whatsoever what love is. The tone is still light, but we already see that she is capable of capturing and breaking hearts and it seems like a matter of time until one the hearts we care about is being broken. Panda: Just look at his face! *sobs* JoAnne: He looks like that handsome boy who was into poetry and took you to prom but you never really felt like he was THERE with you and then later, in college, you find out he's gay. Which is fine, but you spent how many years pining for him before that? Too many. (No, Alexe, this is not one of my boyfriend stories. To my knowledge, anyway.)

kakashi: In episode two, we are still getting to know new people, including some villains, which are great to have in any story. We also get to know more realms, though I still don't understand why we are told there are six realms if we only have: mortal, heaven, demon, bird, and flower? Anyone? Also, we get exposed to an exposed throat-collarbone area. Yes, you have noticed correctly, kakashi is using the same picture TWICE in the same recap, that's how much she likes that exposure. For the record though, I took two separate screencaps. If you want, you can analzye the differences at the end, I put both pictures side by side. panda: Maybe Lord Puchi and other people like that Rat Immortal belong to a separate general animal realm? Infant GoW looks very good in this screencap K! I think it's his big hand behind her dainty neck that does it for me... that and the intense look on his face :) JoAnne: I like his profile and his seriousness.

kakashi: Doing it! It feels like I haven't recapped in 4'000 years, but now I'm sick in bed and feel like this will cure me quickly. Also, huge plus: the show is done airing (no rush to recap), I've seen all the episodes, I enjoyed it thoroughly and therefore know the show won't hit a bump in the middle - which means I won't curse my decision to spend extra hours with it and I won't eventually drop it. panda: I did pause this around the 20th mark but that was because Youtube subs dried then and then I got caught up with other things. I had meant to finish up so this is an excellent push :))) Jo: Is this the one with the fruit fairies in the water bubble? I've been out this evening. I haven't watched this past a couple episodes if it is that one, but I will. You know what I HAVE done? I've had beer. Really delicious beer. Beer I need to go buy from the store this weekend so I can have more.
