The Night Watchman - Episode 3 (A WTFCap)

Image
In which we meet the adult protagonists, reacquaint ourselves with Sadam's hair, and are fully apprised of Hotness McWatchman's hotness. Oh and ghosts. There are some ghosts.

Besotted by Jo In-sung (Part I)

It's not a secret I'm in love with It's Okay, It's Love. So let it be known that one big part of that being in love is directly related to Jo In-Sung - lanky, smirky stealer of my heart. So not on my radar so far. Don't you just love it when you discover NEW LOVE?! So ... I made a few gifs. Yeah, alright - I made MANY gifs. So many I need to break this post apart.

Rants and Weekly Raves #9 (RAWR)

Image
JoAnne: First! kakashi: JoAnne, I love you. JoAnne: The feeling is very, very mutual. Shuk: [checking my blood sugar levels] kakashi: Alright, we'll get a room!   Lafer: Well, I can't possibly come on here and rant with all this love going on! So I will save my Kcon rant for a separate post. And rave about Jang Hyuk's hair and of course Jo In Sung's kisses!

Jang Bori Is Here! - Episode 36 (KimJiCap)

Image
Alright! We're getting nowhere in this episode, but in a good way. This is what this drama does really well: satisfy us. Why? No, it's not the kisses. For that, you have to go watch It's Okay, It's Love (does SBS think it's cable?! Hot damn! *fans itself*). But I think it satisfies some moral need we have: that bad people get punished the way they deserve to be punished. It's slow punishment, but that makes it all the better. And it satisfies because the good people get rewarded. Slowly as well, but seriously, it's the slowness that is half the fun. JoAnne: I've said before that I'm surprised at how I never ever ever get tired of Min Jung's antics and the Anti-Min Jungers thwarting of same, but it bears repeating. That's a tribute to the writing, which is actually pretty good - but so is the acting, believe it or not. The bad guys are playing very much against type, it turns out, and the good guys were always adorable so that's not much ...

Fall In Love With (Both Of) Me - Episode 17 (A SqueeCap)

Image
Shuk:  Ah, the Truck of Doom. Too bad it became the Unicycle of Apathy. The show has slowed down like the locked-up brakes on a 1981 Chevy on a levee. Could someone get me some caffeine? It might make me care a bit more. JoAnne: Leo picks the MOST wrong time to finally take some action.

Yoo Na's Street - Episode 4 (A HugCap)

Image
Hello everybody! It's my (=kakashi's aka The Big Kahuna's) turn for episode 4 and I'll freely admit it, I'm excited! I have come to know most of the characters well by now (as well as one can after 3 episodes of this complex show), so this should work alright. I'll also admit to feeling a bit bad towards Kim Ji-hoon, because ... he really had to move over and now it's getting a bit crowded in my heart. Mary: *whispers* you can move Lee Junki aside for a little bit. I promise not to tell. And hey, where's my gangster nickname? Can I be The Mermaid? Or Fish Tail? becca: Apple Unni? *giggles* I don't know, I'm just glad that we're finally acknowledging this as a HugCap. I've only been campaigning since episode one! [update: we talked about it on Twitter and settled upon AppleButt. Everybody wave to AppleButt!]

Test Post: Practicing With Pics

Image
[Mary: about this post... I was testing stuff again, talking to myself and playing with blogger's picture uploading rules when things took a "strange turn".... See for yourself below.] These are our makjang puppies! ^___^ Unbeknownst to us, our German Shepherd who has free rein in our yard at night is letting a slim, loverdog inside without raising the alarm. And they were having fun sekshi times. Tumbling in the grass! Anyway, yeah. She got pregnant. So we had half-breed puppies. My brother even jokes about how we sent Guzen to school, fed her good food, gave her a huge house-- and she repays it by having an affair with some street mutt "below her level". Hehehe then my dad jokes about how when he sees "that guy", he will make him pay for knocking up our dog and running away.

Surplus Princess - Episode 1 (A SongJaeRimJob)

Image
I'm gonna need your help on this one, chingus. Surplus Princess has premiered to fantastic reviews from my drama circle. [And by fantastic, I mean "LOL Mary you HAVE to see this", "Hey Mary that mermaid is crazy like you", "Your Rim looks good here Mary" -- stuff like that.] kakashi: Yes, it is well established that you may either watch this drama for the Rim or watch this drama to torment mary. I, personally, watch it for the Rim. Which means: I fast forward to all the Rim scenes. JoAnne: I am quite certain that I will have my cake and eat it, too. becca: I would've watched this show even if Rim wasn't  in it. He's the icing on the cake. It's a punny show with lots of pop-culture references, but I don't understand all the jokes *scratches head* Eh. We all know I'm just here for the RimJeob! If I miss some puns or jokes, please feel free to point it out! Thank you very kamsa! kakashi: Errr, jokes? Shit. Maybe the fa...

Jang Bori Is Here! - Episode 35 (KimJiCap)

Image
"IT WAS SO GOOD" --- that's what JoAnne wrote into a yet empty blog post. And indeed, it IS. How exactly this show manages to keep us engaged like this, how it has turned into absolute crack, I don't know for certain. Is it the magical working of the Great Hanbok? In any case, the format of this episode is slightly different - since all the storylines merge this week, I couldn't single out any bits for "the Rest". Well, a tiny few bits. But very tiny. JoAnne: I hate it when I watch an episode and then can't find you on Twitter, now.  (yeah, sorry. Not my fault I need to sleep from time to time) I want to share my happiness at just how many people are screwing up MinJung's terribly laid plans. Right away!

Rants and Weekly Raves #8 (RAWR)

Remember how we talked about how overwhelmed we are by all the good dramas that are airing right now? Yeah. There's us and then, there's JoAnne .... JoAnne who watches almost everything PLUS many other things. She posted this picture on twitter the other day and I thought it would be good for our readers to know how to manage their drama watching duties. This is how JoAnne does it: Mary: This is awesome and all, but what I want to see is how JoAnne does her time-space warp to be able to keep up with all the dramas on that list... kakashi: We'll post that next time.   bcook: She clearly held Hermione up and stole that time whatsit (scientific and magical term). kakashi: A time turner. But it seems JoAnne has perfected it further .
