Finally clean, she hoped, she simply stood motionless in the waterfall and let the relentless fall of the water hit her shoulders and the noise cocoon her in its safety. Past events still felt like a dream to her. Had they really done that? She must have been under a spell and now the enormity of what she had done hit her and she started trembling in the water.
