Rants and Weekly Raves (RAWR) #339

Trotwood: More and more shows are popping up, and I really have given up. Thanks to Kakashi for the post about the cancellation of Joseon Exorcist and lessons about not making assumptions. It looks like historical controversies are hitting another drama even before it airs. But we shouldn't complain as viewers because there are just so many dramas coming out and so many that are being subbed. Thanks to subbers the world over for giving us so much content from which to choose. Zhang Han has another show airing now-- One Boat, One World -- with thirteen episodes out already. I'm almost relieved that no one has subbed that one yet. Anyone watching? Anyone watching Palace of Devotion ? Can someone tell me (with spoilers blocking on) what happened in the time traveling Times ? One Boat, One World poster kakashi: I'm in one of those time loops again where time flies by and nothing ever happens. It's very warm and very pollen polluted here. I keep watching the anime Seven

Joseon Exorcist Cancelled... why oh why? (A Thread)

Oy vey, here I was ready to start watching a Kdrama again after so many months and what happened?! It got cancelled after only two episodes. As Western social media erupts in disbelief and anger, I sit here and think: "I get it".

Trotwood: So many new dramas! I'm not able to keep up with everything. I mean I suppose I should be happy that people were able to work so much with everything that has been going on in the world, but I'm also feeling like I am being slowly overtaken by a drama flood. Joseon Exorcist and Navillera started this week (hopefully, I'll be able to start reviewing for next week), but 12 episode of Palace of Devotion (with seven subbed) and A Love Story: You are the Greatest Happiness of My Life just dropped 14 subbed episodes all at once 14 hours ago after premiering last week! I have a regular job, people. How does anyone manage to watch all these shows and still work? I might be able to catch up with the Korean shows, but I've already given up on the Chinese ones. I'll never catch up with being 12 episodes behind from the beginning. kakashi: I'll be watching Joseon Exorcist too! (Wooooow, I'm going to start a KDrama, wish me luck!) I watched both Yin Yin M

Fanfiction3: A-Li's Three Lives, Three Worlds - Chapter 91 (Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms 三生三世十里桃花)

Chapter 91 written by LigayaCroft edited by Kakashi Ye Hua’s Private Council, composed only of some of his most trusted advisers, had been meeting more frequently as of late. This time the new addition was the God of War, looking like his usual infallible self. Today was the first time he had stepped out of Kunlun since he had moved back after waking up. The other elders bowed at Mo Yuan’s entry and congratulated him for fully recovering his health. Then it was off to Kingdom business. The attendees expressed their concerns on whether this year’s annual title awarding ceremony to new immortals at the Thirty-Sixth Heaven’s Qīng Yún Hall should be postponed or not. “If we push through with the event, it will be seen as a greater provocation to the dissidents.” Donghai Shuijin, the Eastern Sea King, pointed out. “But if we don’t, it will also be seen as if we are going soft.” “It is tricky,” Zhong Huai, leader of the Junzi Clan murmured, his eyes darting toward Ye Hua. “Tianjun, please

Panda: Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii! Hope everyone is staying safe and doing good. Miss you all. Miss dramas too. I can't believe March is already halfway. Whew. No dramas still, but lots and lots of books! Take care mon amies. Ciao.  Trotwood: (jumping up and down and waving at Panda in excitement) Hugs to you. We miss you here, but I love reading about all the books you are reading. And in honor of those books, I'm posting a picture of one of the most beautiful libraries in Asia--a goal destination of mine just for the architecture alone. Nakajima Library at Akita National University in Japan.  kakashi: PANDA! My love, I miss you. I just bought a Kindle eReader after reading hundreds of trashy romance books on my tiny phone. I'm working on my own book and am waiting for the pandemic to go eff itself soon .

kakashi: They grow up so fast (see Lee Jong Suk below...) Trotwood: I was hoping we'd get post military muscle, but I'm also liking the long hair.     KOREA Times It's a show like this that makes me miss Jo extra. She'd be watching, and I'd read her commentary, so I'd know enough to be able to start watching again. I'm behind. I didn't have time to watch last week or this week, and this isn't a show you can fastforward through or skip episodes and still understand. I see clips on OCN's Instagram, and I want to watch, but I don't have time to watch six episodes to catch up. Is anyone watching? It looks really good. Will You Leave/Must You Go? Unlike with Times, I was able to catch up with this show. Four episodes have been aired and they are only 30 minutes long. Another time travel show with a completely different vibe. Min Yoo Jung seems to be the reincarnated version of a woman in the past who begins to relive a love triangle that looks li

Trotwood: Still plugging along, but wishing safety for all those who are protesting for peace and civil rights in Myanmar and Thailand. I'd feel bad if I didn't mention it here, especially since the model that everyone was gong gaga over a couple of weeks ago here is now spending much of his time as part of the protests in Myanmar. kakashi: Drowning in real life stuff. Made it on the list for that job I applied to at the end of January. 6 people remain, next up: a trial lecture.
