kakashi: I'm sure y'all want to talk about Bridgerton ! Well... at least Panda will want to :) Trotwood: I will make sure I put a spot for it here. I feel like I'm the only one not watching it, and that's merely because of my vow not to get Netflix before I retire. Sorry, I completely forgot it's Tuesday today!!!!!! I'm frolicking around in the snow. me, waiting for 2021 KOREA The Uncanny Counter No episodes this weekend. OCN was showing holiday specials instead. Mr. Queen I didn't watch this weekend. I just forgot. I know it's still doing gang busters in the ratings, but it isn't the kind of show where I'm dying to see the next episode. Handmade Love  I was right last week. The client isn't appreciative of Sa Rang's help, but of course Woven's guilt causes him to rethink what he has said as well. I like that the show makes him apologize for his tone but not for what he said to the client. There is more than one way to help a person a

Fanfiction3: A-Li's Three Lives, Three Worlds - Chapter 86 (Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms 三生三世十里桃花)

Chapter 86 written by LigayaCroft edited by Kakashi “Xiaolian, your manners are becoming more uncouth each day.” The old man reprimanded, hitting the back of Suiren’s incarnation’s thighs with his walking stick. “It is only because you have no spirit energy in you that you didn’t notice that this man is a cultivator—“ “If he’s a cultivator, why did he fight so badly? I could have peeled him like an apple and killed him several times.” Even though she had just talked about how to best kill him next by throwing him down the gorge or peeling him like an apple, her voice still sounded like the most beautiful melody to Li’s ears. “Oh, why is he crying?” “Xiaolian, maybe you’ve given him a fright,” answered another male voice. “You should really try to be more ladylike sometimes.” The old man shuffled toward Li, assisted by his stick. Li knew that this was just for show. The old man’s cultivation level was already very high, probably the highest he had seen from any mortal he had met in all

Trotwood: I'm exhausted. I feel like I have a case of senioritis even though it's winter. Senioritis, for those of you who don't know, happens to seniors (in high school or university) when they are close to being done but aren't yet, but their bodies and minds are ready to be done, so they start slacking off from work. It's like they can see the end of the line and their bodies are ready to just be there already--that's how I feel. How can I be in the holiday spirit when I'm in charge of pre-holiday COVID testing logistics and making sure homeless students have places to live (and food) during the break? I've been watching more anime than dramas this week. Finished Given . Started Haikyu again. Didn't realize there were so many seasons. Any anime recommendations? Kakashi is (re)watching Attack on Titan. Any other recommendations? I'm inclined to sports ones or girl power ones.   Kakashi: It's not a rewatch of Attack on Titan , Trot, it'

Fanfiction3: A-Li's Three Lives, Three Worlds - Chapter 85 (Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms 三生三世十里桃花)

Chapter 85 written by LigayaCroft edited by Kakashi Lijiang turned out to have a distinct charm to it compared to the other mortal cities that Li had been to. Mei Lin had mentioned earlier that its residents barely comprised half of the populace, as most of the people one would run into in Lijiang were tourists from the northern states or merchants stopping by as they set off to trade with countries to the south and west. As an economic hotspot, its government officials did not lack money to build and refine its infrastructure. All of its roads were made of cobblestones, where mules and yaks in caravans loaded with burlap sacks of tea, salt and silks traveled through nonstop. Water passed through the entire city, and was made more scenic by a well thought of arrangement of bridges, winding roads and waterways. Lastly, the city thrived with the majestic Yulong Mountain as its backdrop, which added to the awe-factor that tourists came from afar to experience, especially during the summ

Kakashi: What I did this week: 1) Fixed our rowing machine, which included buying a new bungee cord and attaching it. 2) Finished a chapter for a textbook. I should only have updated it but I ended up completely rewriting it. I think it is marvelous. 3) Lived life. That is not an easy feat these days, right?  Brava!! :) Panda: What I did this week: 1) Read more romances. 2) Tried (and failed) to ignore the news. 3) Eat my weight in cake!  Trotwood: What I did this week: 1) Established COVID testing protocol for winter break. 2) Took a Korean language placement test with no time to prep. 3) Rewatched Yuri on Ice instead of the new dramas I planned to watch. My first thought was, "Oh how pretty!" and then my second thought was "is that deer pooping Christmas lights?" KOREA The Uncanny Counter This show continues to deliver and delight. I'm so glad it's doing so well in the ratings. It's now OCN's highest rated drama ever. There is so much to muster thr

Fanfiction3: A-Li's Three Lives, Three Worlds - Chapter 84 (Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms 三生三世十里桃花)

Chapter 84 written by LigayaCroft edited by Kakashi Li returned to Kunlun, his Shifu’s question still weighing heavily on his mind. His head ached with the gravity of his situation, of the choice he had to make, and what to tell his own Father soon. He took out the blue and black gecko that he had picked up from Hùndùn from his sleeve. The animal blinked at him with two wide eyes before snuggling in his palm. Li felt relieved that like the other living things that he had brought back with him from Hùndùn, this one made it intact as well. Tucking the animal back inside his sleeve pocket, Li walked out of the cave. He had barely taken a few steps when his Father and Uncle suddenly appeared before him. Even after a long time of not seeing the twins together, beholding his Father and Uncle shoulder to shoulder never failed to make Li feel like he was that young kid again— back when he felt startled each time he saw his Father’s twin without his Father, and confused whenever he saw them t

kakashi: I watched the Zoom horror movie "Host", which is kind of ridiculous, and thought that Zoom meetings are horror enough without vengeful spirits. Over and out. Trotwood: I didn't get to start any of the Chinese dramas that were recommended, partly because of time and partly because when I had time, I just wanted to rewatch something comforting that I knew instead. What are some of your go to comfort rewatch shows or episodes if you have them? I included episodes because I have some show episodes that I watch when I need uplift like episode 14 of My Name is Kim Samsoon. In case Samsoon fans don't remember, it's the karaoke episode. KOREA My Wonderful Life Tables were flipped all over the daily drama watching universe during last week's episodes of this show. I didn't even make it through the full week of episodes because I was so mad. Really, show? You are going to give one of the main leads leukemia at this late stage? Hasn't she suffered enough

Chapter 19 - The Dragon’s Scale Part 2 written by LalaLoop edited by Kakashi   consulting by Bunny Bai Qian closed her eyes for a second as the gentle cold on top of Mount Cangwu brushed over her cheeks. A tiny drop of crystal landed on the tip of her boot — the first snow had begun to fall. The Celestials had taken him away. To the Sea of Innocence , they had said. Yehua had yet to announce the loss of his brother to his people, but Bai Qian knew even he had stopped hoping for a miracle. Moyuan was gone, he had placed his last stone on the chessboard and gone, just as Zheyan had. His study was empty. So was the Peach Blossom Forest, so was her fourth brother’s book cave, where he would lounge and sip his favorite wine while scanning over scrolls and documents. Her world just a few days ago felt like it belonged to a dream, a dream she wanted to go back to by sleeping every hour of the day . Bai Qian suddenly reached over to clutch her right wrist. Some things were still the same.
