Rants and Weekly Raves (RAWR) #474

Anne: Hello Drama Lovers! For those who missed Halloween last week...here's a haunted house for everyone to enjoy.

The little boy had a great trick-or-treat...all his friends showed up at the house...but his costume made him a little slow...the "walk" was hilarious and super cute because of the way the costume was made, he shuffled...with fast-tiny steps.

He was very insistent on doing everything by himself. But his visual field was impaired. So as he tries to catch up with his friends, he fell flat on his face at one point, into some small bushes. He wasn't hurt. It was cute and funny at the same time. Obviously, the cushion of air inside the costume helped.

And them mom and dad had an adult night's out.

And I took half a day off Friday morning...

And now let's take a look at the one new show that I caught in the last two weeks.

Love Game in The Eastern Fantasy

This popped up on my app list over the weekend (the apps that I haven't looked through in a while because of my YouTube binge watching) and of course I have to take a peep. It's has Esther Yu and Ding Yu Xi...both have done these costume comedy romance dramas that are a little bit quirky, which I liked.

The drama tells the story of Ling Miao Miao, who was extremely disappointed in the new novel from her favorite author, that she wrote a scathing online review. Then she gets sucked into the "book" or rather a "game" based on the novel (I really like the "transition")

into the character of Lin Yu, the female villain. In disbelief, she tries to leave...

...and promptly gets strike by lightening...dead...and the end credits started to roll.

The FL finds that the only way to return to her world is to complete the mini tasks and one "secret" task (which turns out to be getting the male villain Mu Sheng to "love" her by having a 100% favorable impression of her). Lin Yu doesn't think it's possible, since in the original story he was a brutal character with no empathy, who tortured Lin Yu  (when she married him) and drove her to her death.

In the first 10 days, it's like a tutorial, so she get unlimited free lives. This turned out to be a very good perk, as she died countless times as she navigates her "beginner" missions.

Like when she tried to "correct" the bad medicine from the original plot that caused harm to Mu Yao (Mu Sheng's older sister). Due to her "changing" of some of the plot, Mu Sheng ended up witnessing his sister's ill reaction to the medicine, and kills her dead. She pops up back in the kitchen trying to figure out what went wrong. After over a dozen tries, she is out of ideas and just gives her some boiled water. She thought she was pretty smart for a good 10 seconds before Mu Yao falls over again! After the disbelief, she figures out the solution...and asks him to "kill me, kill me now!"

In her next task, she has to go burn a map that Mu Yao spent a long time fixing... she really couldn't do it because she liked Mu Yao so much. So she decided to curse at the game and tell it that she WILL NOT DO IT!... and ....

You see what happened.

She ended up doing the task.

When she realized that she had to do the "secret" task... she checked her favorability rating with Mu Sheng... it started at -200%...then dropped to -250%... But she did make some progress and at least increased her rating to 0% by episode 6.

I love it. This reminds me of Love Between Fairy and Devil. And Tiger and Rose

Looking forward to continuing!

And this is all for this week. Hope everyone finds interesting things to watch!
