Shuk's Favorite Kisses

Image
Hello everyone!  This is Shukmeister, taking a small respite from the SqueeCapping, I decided to look back and do a listing of some of my favorite KDrama lip-to-lip action scenes. They are in no particular order or timeframe of watching, but they have stuck in my brain and heart over weeks, months and years.  Enjoy! Secret Garden (2010) This one is a favorite for several reasons.  It's just a tiny kiss, with a little forehead to forehead action, but when Joo-won tells her that his company stock is crashing because the heir has fallen for a stuntwoman and ruined the merger of a lifetime - that just made me melt.  It's like the two little words, "I do", that, in the infinitesimal moment you say them, can carry over into a lifetime's commitment.

Finding the Logic Behind [Some] KDramas Clichés [Guest Post]

Image
I'm sure you've seen it all before. The KDramas that we all love are laden with these clichés. But have you ever wondered whether there are some logical explanation behind all of these clichés? No? Never? Not even once? Ok, maybe just me, then.. But now that you have clicked on this post* you have no option than to keep reading otherwise it will self-destruct in the next 30 seconds**... Piggyback scenes Ok! Let's see if kakashi's blogger tip will do the trick by putting Lee Min Ho picture first.. Oh! and his hair looks good here! [ okay, LMH and hair.. covered! *sly smirks*] The logic? It also gives warm allusion to the piggyback rides that dads often gave to their little girls, and in turns heighten the male image as someone safe and reliable just like... a dad. And I know fo...

Lee Min-ho and ... his Hair

If objectifying Korean men/actors is a crime, I plead guilty. But I know it is not, so I'll keep doing it all day long . See who can stop me. I consider one of the best suited victims for objectification to be Lee Min-ho (이민호). Here is why: First, he is one of the tallest Korean actors (though not the tallest, as this very useful list informs me, but then, he is the most famous among the tallest) and tall people can take a bit of objectification, no? Second, he is among the most famous Korean actors worldwide (he even has a German Wikipedia entry! Jang Dong-gun hasn't. Just saying) and has a rabid fanbase. I'm guessing about 99% of his fans are women, so he is totally used to objectification (and I am sure the 1% men also objectify him). Third, he is partially to 'blame' (applaud?) for turning me into a KDrama-addict, so I have a right to objectify him (*insert totally irrelevant additional comment*: Technically, it's Rain first and Lee Min-ho second, ...
