The Problematic of the Unproblematic

Anne: So, how has everyone been lately? I feel like I'm still drowning in the endless sea of paperwork with no shore in sight.  In order to encourage the 6 year old to read, which he does very well but doesn't like to do, I'm bribing him with MineCraft mods for every book he finishes. Although I will need to re-think the number of words because some of the books he's checking out at the library are a bit on the "thin" side. And I asked him why he keeps checking out geography books, thinking maybe if checked out a "story" book or something it won't be so boring. And he says it's because he likes geography. Anne: Another Tuesday has arrived! Yes, I missed last week's post. I had to write a protocol in under 2 days, which I accomplished. And yes, I am very proud of that. Especially since I had to make "forms" to go with it. Who knew that next to grant writing, making "forms" would be my second most hated thing to do?! Now, I did spend a lot of time watching shows. Unfortunately, for 2 of those days, I was re-watching Love O2O. (I tried not to cringe at the kissing scenes.) And then I got side tracked by the music. As of this point, I have played it endlessly in my car for the last 5 days. At around day 3, the now-six year old in the back seat said, "I like this one," to the song "One Alluring Smile". Anne: Happy Tuesday everyone! It's been well over a week. My deadlines at work are overlapping, and I'm becoming slightly deranged with the ever constant moving target that I'm trying to hit. I have always thought it was funny that for a person who swore she will never get into a customer service industry ended up in a customer oriented industry. The irony! Anne: This past week has been a little weird. First, while I was going to sleep one night, I heard a high pitched giggle. In the dark, for like one half of a second, my mind flashed to every single horror movie that I have ever watched with dolls coming to life. I swear that I stopped moving, with the bedcovers right beneath my nose and I strained my ears. And there it was again, the giggle. I told myself if I hear quick foot steps next, I'm burning all the stuffed toys my son had. All this happened in about a minute, which was about the time it took me to come to the more realistic conclusion that the giggle was my son giggling in his sleep. Yes, I can hear his giggle from my bedroom (I live in a tiny house). It is at these moments when I realize that no matter how much my rational mind knows that supernatural events are not real, when sudden things happen that my brain cannot process in a split second, I almost always go back into the supernatural world.  As I was saying, this we...

Anne: We are getting close to the end of the summer. And depending on which school district you attend, 1st day of school for the new year can be any time between next week and until September. The 5, almost 6, year old is in his last week of space camp and having a hard time waking up at 6:30am when he's been sleeping in until 9am for the last two weeks. The week is still going by as always...me trying to catch up on sleep, catching up on my Korean drama watching, and chasing after some sort of end to my long work list.  And so...on with the shows! Anne: Hello Everyone! I am just a little late with the posting, and again I don't have too much to post. I did continue with Love Across the Galaxy  and Alchemy of Souls, but everything is just following along the story lines. I don't remember any particularly memorable moments, except this... and then this.... when we find out that Master Lee's "body" is the correct biological age and no, he didn't discover some magical spell to keep him eternally youthful...Now... is he lying or is he telling the truth? We will find out next week!   I have continued on my quest of watching a lot more Korean dramas lately, due to the obvious lack of interesting shows coming out of China. Maybe it's my taste in choosing only certain genres, but almost every Korean show that I'm watching has some sort of corruption between the wealthy and some sort of government entity. Maybe I am not current in global politics, but what is with this intense focus that Korea has on corr...

Anne: Well...vacation is over and back to the realities of life. Although I guess I didn't go that far away from reality since I refused to let my work email pile up into high triple digits and having to go through it all in one go. It was quite relaxing for the most part since I was able to ignore almost all the scheduled meetings. I did managed to watch some of the older (as in one or two years from now) Korean dramas that had been in my queue. Now on to the shows that I've watched this week. (I'm writing this as I'm catching up on this weeks episodes of Alchemy of Souls . And next week we should talk about how the CP in this drama is really Jang Uk and the Crown Prince.) Anne: Happy Tuesday drama lovers! So...I am actually on vacation this week (more like work and vacation since I'm still working some...just took 6 hrs of meetings today). Rented a place near the river...take a look out the backyard of this place.  And the backyard leads directly to the river.  The water is freezing! Yes, it's like 102F or something outside, but the water is probably <80F. I can't tell. It was cold, but not the bone chilling cold that basically paralyzes you. No wonder most people tube down the river. You stay mostly on top where the water is the warmest. Next time, I'll need to bring my dive suit, at least it'll help with keeping me a bit warmer. I do need some swim shoes though...I was NOT liking the "moss" that I sometimes step on underneath the water. You can't see the bottom...so...it makes that whole sensation of "slime" between your toes a bit... shiver ... I was hoping that since I have a LOT of time this week, some...

Anne: Hello drama watchers! Another week and the heat continues to set record breaking temperatures. The 5 year old is in theater camp these last two weeks, and I am still waiting to see what role he is supposed to play. First week was a tree, or rather a "baby" tree growing up. And now he is a bee, particularly a bee that likes to speak in rhymes. All of these seemed more normal than what he said last Friday...He asked me how to get abs. I'm pretty sure my faced looked like this...😕 He wanted abs because a 6 year old has abs in his theater class. (The entire time, I'm trying to figure out why a 6 year old has abs. And then I figured that they probably weren't really talking about what I'm picturing inside my head.) I asked, very directly, "are you sure that it wasn't a costume" (they were dressing silly that day). He was adamant that they were real. I told him that I could draw some on his tummy...
