The Problematic of the Unproblematic

Note: Sparks of Ember won our "alternative ending" contest , congrats! This is her entry. As her prize, she chose ToGetHer (aka Superstar Express) starring Jiro Wang and Rainie Yang, her favorite TwDrama from 2009 for us to recap.  Shuk: Yay! I love that one. It is my second Rainie Yang after "Devil Beside You". Sparks of Ember: The drama I hate most due to the ending would be Fall in Love With (Both of) Me . I hate it because it was so amazing and there was so many promises in the plot during the first half and not only did those promises not get fulfilled but the entire thing became a long, nonsensical train wreck. I have thought hard about how to give it an alternative, better ending. Unfortunately, it was such a mess of a drama, I felt like I had to back up to episode 8. I tweaked the original rather than writing from scratch. There are large chunks that remain the same so I have quoted them from the recaps (I hope that's ok?). I was sorely tempted to k...

Even scruffy dimples look great on me This was one of the easier contests, I'll admit, although a few thought Joo Sang Wook was Jang Hyuk and several people were convinced Lee Min Ho was in there somewhere! Lafer: Well, Kakashi, you've made it to 1,000 posts! kakashi: OH MY GOOOOOOOOD! How is that even possible .... well, definitely not without a little help from my friends. Thank you all so much, Squeecappers!  And yet all that's really on your mind is Dimples, as in Mr. Dimples himself, Lee Sang Yoon. ( I miss him so..... TT_____TT) Whom, I admit, I also have an extreme fondness for  (Shooooo, go away!) . As a matter of fact, dimples play a large part in almost ALL of the actors I'm attracted to. Hi Squeelets! Tired of whiling away the hours on Google, while refreshing the page every 15 minutes to see if new episodes of your favorite squeecaps are up? Here's a fun little game you can play against yourself to see how many gifs you recognize. Because really, who doesn't get satisfaction out of saying "oh, oh, oh, I know that one!" even if you are the only one who hears it? Most of the gifs are from PotUP, but there are a few random ones thrown in at the end. So as not to ruin it for the others, you can list in the comments how many you get + ones you had trouble with. Thank you to those of you who took the time to enter our Kdrama Addict Martyr Contest.  I really just wanted to see if there was anyone as crazy as me out there, so was happy to find that I am in good company!  We got quite a few laughs out of reading everyone's entry and hope you did too. Before I announce the winner, I have to say that I feel I must share in this award for finishing A Hundred Years Inheritance. By the end it was so ludicrous it felt like a bad comedy to me. Struggling to walk on limp little feet? Love and hugs between the baby stealer and her victim? The female lead being tricked into attending her own wedding (what girl doesn't dream of that after a long day's work?) And that's when I realized the writer did work amnesia into the story after all. How else could the lead thank her for sticking by him after SHE LEFT HIM AT THE ALTAR one time already, REFUSED TO STOP HIM FROM LEAVING even though he begged her to, and CHOSE HER NEW MOTHER-IN-LAW O...

Did you watch all 50 episodes of 1000 Kisses, only to be disappointed that there wasn’t even one memorable one in it? Did you finish New Tales of Giseang even though the compelling love story was overtaken by an errant ghost that left the characters, as well as us, go WTF?
