Surplus Princess - Episode 10 Final (A SongJaeRimJob)

Image
Surplus Princess ends as crazily as it started. Although not as pervy, which makes our kokos sad. You know what else makes our kokos sad? No? JoAnne: I can only speak for my own koko, Mary. Although I really prefer not to even do that. becca: I have very mixed feelings about this ending. But yes, most of them are sad. And if they're not sad, they're cranky. kakashi: It's finally Oooooooooover! *does happyhappy dance*

Surplus Princess - Episode 9 (A SongJaeRimJob)

It's the second to the last episode. Will Pervy get her fun sekshi times? With whom? Or will she really vanish into pink bubbles of vanishment?! good riddance! (guess who that was) Did I ever stop to admire the cute animated sequence where they display the episode's title? JoAnne: Nope. You were always chasing dat ass. becca: Not that anyone blames you. An apple butt like that is worth chasing.

Surplus Princess - Episode 8 (A SongJaeRimJob)

Lots of stuff get cleared up in this episode. Which is good, because we only have 2 episodes left. Chop-chop, Show! kakashi: Now you see me ... and now you don't *poof* (Anyway, this is one of the better episodes) Mary: kakashi is baaaaaaack! Come give her a hug, koko! JoAnne: If you're not coming back I'm taking back my color! You can be gold if it's just one comment. becca: I hope kakashi realizes that she's leaving the maknaes at the mercy of JoAnne. Who will protect us from the jeobbing? Mary: Save yourself, dongsaeng. I'm 100% jeobbed.

Surplus Princess - Episode 7 (A SadJaeRimJob)

Image
Mary: 난슬픈... JoAnne: I can't see any of the pictures. I don't know why. kakashi: Maybe ... you're being punished for something?

Surplus Princess - Episode 6 (A SongJaeRimJob)

Image
Mary: I'm so sad. JoAnne: *patpatpat* NOT you, KoKo. kakashi: I don't remember anything about this episode. I'm glad you'll trigger my memory. EPISODE 6 It's The End of The World (How apt) Hani answers her call, but it's Ahn Ma-nyeo on the other side, asking for news. She scolds him for possibly hogging her signal and ends the call, still waiting for Shi-kyung. JoAnne: You know, she spent so much time watching dramas, I don't know why she doesn't realize that the best thing to do when you're waiting for someone to call is just to go out, randomly, and pick a place, because you're sure to run into them there. kakashi: Oh, but only if unmyeong, the big fucker, is on your side. becca: Hey, it's worked for her before.

Surplus Princess - Episode 5 (A SongJaeRimJob)

Hello again! I'm dropping by from the land of Much Busy, Very Work to hack a little bit at this crazy Mermaid drama. Y'know, the one that got cut down to 10 episodes . That means the last one airs on October 9! Can tvN manage to wrap up everything by then? becca: Yes! No! Maybe?? JoAnne: Well sure. A meteor could drop on them all and kill everyone. Boom. End of drama. kakashi: I'm sure they'll wrap up but I'm also sure it will be an opportunity to have ragefits.& (Note re: We Got Married . Yes, we're going to cap it! kakashi, Enabler of Squees, has started the RimKimJeobs so it should be up soon. Well, as soon as we finish commenting. Hehe. She's already finished it . ^^ Thanks, kakashi! (You're welcome. It had to happen) Oh, and we're still doing YNS recaps too, in case any YNS-lovers are reading this and waiting for news too.) So just as a refresher, Episode 4 ends with Jin-ah telling everyone to go ahead and try getting into ...

Surplus Princess - Episode 4 (A SongJaeRimJob)

Pervy Mermy gets a couple more allies in her quest to be close to Rim! But is it enough? It seems to me that in this universe, EVERYONE is looking for a jeob. Err... job. JoAnne: I prefer to think of it as Second getting a jeob. Job. Because I'm all positive like that. No other meaning. None at all. kakashi: Please give everybody a joeb-Job. Joeb-less people are so sad.   becca: I just want food. Sheppu-nim! Please feed us! Anyway, I'm just glad she's still pervy as ever. It just makes jeobbing so much easier. becca: This show literally jeobs itself!

Surplus Princess - Episode 3 (A SongJaeRimJob)

I think I found a way to enjoy this drama: First, I must accept that Rim is NOT the lead and just appreciate how Ohn Joo Wan is killing it as the sincere, horny Puppy who will teach our Mermaid how to be "human". And second, I must treat this as another Age of Feeling where Song Jae Rim shows up randomly, does random shit on the screen, does weird stuff to my kokoro, and leaves as quickly as he came. becca: I'm glad you've come to terms with it. As for me, I only get more confused with each episode. JoAnne: Mostly I'm just confused by the way I ended up liking the Gamer Guy because I figured I wouldn't pay any attention to him at all, but he's holding his own with Big and Second. Not in the same way, of course. Rim is in this? kakashi: Yeah, he is that puffy white thing that reminds me of pastry. I think.   This way I can enjoy both the story AND Rim! Let's try it in this 3rd Jeob, shall we?  JoAnne: But Kim Seul Gi now, she ROCKS. kak...

Bad news, Squeeglets. There is too much hate for some characters and not enough Rim to jeob this whole episode. Thus, we are extending the jeobbing to all puppies. Rim, Big, or Very Big. (Wait-- why is that bad news again?) kakashi: My sentiments exactly. You know what? I don't like this show. Not at all. JoAnne: I like it, but I get you.The problem is it's not BAD like Paris but it's weird like Paris, so it feels...slippery. I don't know.Hard to settle in to. I think that's part of the one episode thing, too. becca: It does make it harder to get invested, but the show itself is just weird, too. I like it, though. We get to know more about Ahn Ma Nyeo, our Share House Family, and Pervy Mermaid in this episode. Though in her case, what you see isn't very likable... let's hope the show fixes that soon. kakashi: One of the main reasons I don't like this show is her. She is horrible. All the more horrible for not knowing she is horrible - if that mak...

Surplus Princess - Episode 1 (A SongJaeRimJob)

I'm gonna need your help on this one, chingus. Surplus Princess has premiered to fantastic reviews from my drama circle. [And by fantastic, I mean "LOL Mary you HAVE to see this", "Hey Mary that mermaid is crazy like you", "Your Rim looks good here Mary" -- stuff like that.] kakashi: Yes, it is well established that you may either watch this drama for the Rim or watch this drama to torment mary. I, personally, watch it for the Rim. Which means: I fast forward to all the Rim scenes. JoAnne: I am quite certain that I will have my cake and eat it, too. becca: I would've watched this show even if Rim wasn't  in it. He's the icing on the cake. It's a punny show with lots of pop-culture references, but I don't understand all the jokes *scratches head* Eh. We all know I'm just here for the RimJeob! If I miss some puns or jokes, please feel free to point it out! Thank you very kamsa! kakashi: Errr, jokes? Shit. Maybe the fa...

Farewell to ... Flower Boys Next Door

Image
Will this do instead of a review? ^.^ Dear friends, I am too lazy (or should I say unmotivated?) to write a long farewell post for this show. So many bloggers have already written reviews, good and excellent ones, so you don't need me to write another good one. I'll just do a bad, lazy one then, ok?  The + Let me just say that I enjoyed the show, mostly, for its quietness and its portrayal of normal, everyday people. I also liked it because its episodes were only 45 minutes long. Seriously, KDrama in general would hugely profit from shorter episodes. I liked the way it was shot (especially the subdued colors) and I really liked making gifs, because there were so many funny and cute scenes. It was a veritable gif-fest every Monday and Tuesday! I liked Park Shin-hye's natural beauty and her acting. Though I am nothing like her character, I appreciated the way it was written, and the way she was allowed to change and get over the hurts of her past. I also liked lov...

Flower Boy Next Door ... More Twitter pics!

Image
And so it ends. The last episode of Flower Boy Next Door has aired in Korea. We all know that there will be a happy end, which is well deserved. @tvN_Flower has released a last set of BTS-pictures a while ago. It looks as if Enrique and Dok-mi went on a farewell tour ...  ... and then met again after a time jump (hint: Enrique's hair):  And these are some pictures from the last shoot. Lovely. Ah, despite what I said yesterday (that it is good that this show is ending, as it has now come to the end of its story!), I will miss these guys! By the way, Kim Seul-gi has released a song for the OST: 너 땜에 잠이 깨 (Feat. Go Kyung Pyo). This pic is from their recording session. My goodness, they are cute together!!!   ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥

Fanpost for the Editor

Image
Which editor you ask? THAT editor!  The name of the funniest woman on Korean TV (ever?) is Kim Seul-gi. She was born in 1991, her Twitter account is @s911010 , and she is part of the Korean SNL cast (as Go Kyung-pyo used to be, who plays Dong-hoon). Not only is she incredibly funny, she can also sing. Wow. I have such a huge girl crush on her! See this video with her and Jay Park (who is taking Kyung-pyo's place, I hear), in which she is a girl that finds out that her boy is experiencing sexual urges that she can't fulfill ( English version ). But hello, Korea! I think I must watch Korean SNL? This is indeed already everything that the English Internet knows about this girl. That's a shame, really. She doesn't even have a proper name in Flower Boy Next Door , but she sure has left an impression. This post is dedicated solely to her... so read it carefully ...  RIGHT NOW! We first meet The Awesome Editor in Episode 1, when Dong-hoon and Jin-rak go to see ...
