Idol Fashion Dramatized: You're Beautiful

Image
Just In Case Wei: Hello fellow Squeeglets! I am back again for take two (quite literally since the first draft of this post disappeared into an internet black hole) of Hongki oppa's fashion and hair. This time, we'll revisit his days as the idol band member Jeremy in the drama You're Beautiful (미남이시넹요). Like for many, Jeremy was my first introduction to Lee Hongki as an actor and idol. For me, it was instant love and adoration because how can you dislike a guy who names his dog Angelina Jolie? But while Jeremy was great as a character, there were a number of questionable fashion choices, along with his fellow bandmates played by Jang Geunsuk and Jung Yonghwa. Since JGS and Yonghwa can be pretty eye candy too, I won't leave them out! Let's take a look at the handsomest ANJells that ever walked the earth (or at least the kpop world)! Lafer aka KLnoona:  I love You're Beautiful!  And I'm so glad you included all the boys! Because there is just too much cra...

Top 5 ... Shower Scenes, Take 3 (The Lighthearted)

Image
Hello, chingus! I have been AWOL a little, but nobody seems to have missed me much. Good. My short absence was due to some RL issues, like work. Lots of it. Pfff, RL sucks... But I did find time to marathon Stars Are Falling from the Sky - as foreseen in my last shower post - and I fell even more deeply in love with smoking hot Kim Ji-hoon. He really isn't afraid of showing his beautiful body! I have now bookmarked this page and will watch all the available dramas with my current number one love (that used to be Park Shi-hoo, but, alas ... and *le sigh*). But where were we. Ah, shower scenes (yes, Kim Ji-hoon actually has a second shower scene in SAFFTS, but I was unable to make a gif so far). It is important to know for the Kdraddict that not all shower scenes are broody. Some are neutral ("just" shower scenes, or rather, random fanservice), some are even a little tiny bit funny, some are really funny, and some are sweet. In this third installment of KDrama shower sc...

Confessions of a Pedonoona (Guest Post)

Image
Some of you may know me as Korazy Lady.  I'm filling in for Kakashi today, so I decided  to tackle a subject that she swears has no relevance to her *wink wink*.  This is my first foray into blogging. "Pedonoona: A combination of the word pedophile and noona (a Korean word referring to an older girl), a pedonoona is an older woman or girl who is interested in a young male idol in an inappropriate and sexual way." (urban dictionary) I recently became acquainted with the word “pedonoona” during a lively discussion of Korean dramas among a group of somewhat middle-aged women. The plot - who cares! It was the actor/idol guys getting all the attention. Ha! I scoffed. That word doesn’t apply to me! I am not attracted to underage guys, not ones under 25 anyways (wait, how old is Kim Bum?) And I don’t have pictures of young’uns on my computer (no officer, Song Joong Ki only looks 15 in that shower scene!) And I’m not actually lusting after them, at least not inappro...

My Top 5 ... Snow Scenes

Image
Inspired by the currently falling snow hereabouts (why, why, why??), I've decided to pick five memorable snow scenes from KDramaland. I made this myself today. A true beauty! This time round, the "Top 5" also include horribly sad scenes, so it's not Top 5 wonderful Snow Scenes, but just 5 Snow Scenes that I can remember. If there happens to be KDrama-snow-experts among you, my choices may seem odd, because some of the obvious snow dramas are not represented (like Winter Sonata or Will it Snow for Xmas ). Yeah, that's because I haven't seen those... Also, at least two out of the five are snow scenes filmed in Japan. Does Japan have the nicer snow than Korea? 1: Love Rain Let me admit right away that I haven't fully watched Love Rain . In fact, I skipped through about half of it and that's it (despite of Jang Keun-suk). The Diamond Snow scene in Episode 5, however, was truly beautiful. If this is how director Yoon Suk-ho and screenwriter Oh S...
