The Problematic of the Unproblematic

Yes! Me too! Believe me!! IRIS, Athena, and IRIS2 were bad enough, but now, it looks like they are going for IRIS3! See this awesome cliffhanger right here?? It's a bomb! This is the beginning of a new one! *Boooooooom!!!* Or not boom? Who will be the next poor bastard that gets to play an agent that is killed at the end for no reason whatsoever? This cannot go on. We cannot let this happen. We - that is Ori and yours truly. We already made plans for IRIS3 the other day and we will make sure it will be awesome. No inconsistent characters. No non-story.  No. This is in the past - the OriKaka power couple will finally turn the IRIS franchise into an awesome spy sci-fi spectacle. Oh wow. I am melting. Lee Dong-wook as a father? So incredibly cute!  and nobody too little to have cell-phone, ay? :) As IRIS2 is soon coming to an end (HOOORAY!), my hopes are up - hopes for a drama that pulls me in utterly and completely. Yeah, I still have that problem. Granted, I haven't even given the two Monday-Tuesday dramas a fair chance yet; but I cannot force my interest, can I?   Mandate of Heaven does interest me. Oh wow, it does so a lot! This might just be the perfect mixture of sageuk and action that I have been waiting for. If you are not watching IRIS2 or do not read every single post on Dramabeans you might not yet have seen the 2nd teaser (which really is the best thing about ever IRIS2 episode): A lot of BHS photos have surfaced recently, as have photos of the "good luck" ceremony. If you are anything like me, you are mightly confused by all the new dramas that are about to start. This post is my way of ensuring I don't miss anything I don't want to miss. So lucky to have a blog for such moments of confusion. Yesterday, I shared my love for Special Affairs Team TEN2 , which premiers on April 14, and I guess there will be more about it on this blog very soon. Not sure how many episodes there will be, but I'm guessing 9-10.   >>Will definitely watch. In fact, cannot wait!    This weekend, on April 6, I Summon You, Gold is starting. Love the title ... NOT. I'll keep an eye on it, though, cause one of my favorite Korean actors is in it. Yes, it's Mr. Vampire Prosecutor, Yeon Jeong-hoon! I'm pretty sure the drama is crap, but I've watched a lot of crap just for some actor I like. And I can be very determined if I want to be. This drama is planned for 50 episodes. I am super excited about the imminent start of Special Affairs Team TEN , Season 2 (TEN2)! Oh, it feels good to be so excited about a drama after such a long time ... And they're all back: The Monster who Catches Monsters (Joo Sang-wook), The Lie Detector (Jo Ahn), The Venomous White Snake (one of my favorite ahjussi actors Kim Sang-ho), and cutsie Power Ranger (Choi Woo-shik, who is growing up mightily fast...). And just as importantly, the same creative team is also on board: director Lee Seung-young and writer Nam Sang-wook. I also hope they have the same cinematographer, but judging from the teaser above and the character blurbs below, this is, indeed!, the case.

While I am still dealing with my post-Junki-in-Switzerland-depression, I've come across this very exciting Korean car advertisment. Oh wait, it's a trailer! For IRIS 2 ! Ah .... no. It's a car ad. Uhm... ok, it is both! This is much, much better than its 2010 equivalent because it takes (pre-show!) product placement to a new level. IRIS 2 will start airing in mid-February and they have that much footage already? Well done, show, well done (though we will have to see how Jang Hyuk measures up to Lee Byung-hun). Jang Hyuk started my love for saeguk with Chuno , so I owe him a lot! (and Lee Da-hae almost killed it, but that's another story for another time). I did like IRIS , kind of, but never finished it. I did like Athena , kind of, but never finished it. So I'm probably going to like IRIS 2 , kind of, but will never finish it. 

I present you with ... a 13 minute preview video of the upcoming Jeonwoochi! D-5!   Okay, let me be honest with you. I don't actually post this here for anybody else but myself. It's as simple as this: I have a tendency to 'lose' awesome YouTube videos, though 'lose' is not that well suited an expression for simply not finding them anymore. The perfect solution? Post the videos on the blog. I do know where my own blog is so I will always be able to find them again.  (as long as they're not deleted)

It is not much ... but finally, I was able to hunt down some Cheongdamdong Alice Park Shi-hoo pictures. Well, 'hunt down' is probably exaggerated, as they just appeared in my Facebook newsfeed, but give me credit for selecting the best two. He looks a bit crumbled in them, but at least it's confirmed: He really IS in this drama. I was beginning to have some serious doubts. Sure, he was probably very busy promoting his first movie, which premiered last Thursday. It definitely is on my 'must watch' list.

I know I am not the only one who has a slightly ... UNgood feeling about this drama. The description is alarmingly cliched and boring, there is hardly any BTS material available and now ... the teaser. Seriously, is this a teaser??! It is not teasing me! Not at all!!! Even though it has Park Shi-hoo in it, smiling like an angel!! This is so bad it makes me cry. Either, they are pulling our legs in major ways, this is all deliberate and we are in for major surprises  - or this is going to be the biggest disappointment in the history of KDrama.

There's always a slump when dramas like Faith and Arang end (sure, there's Nice Guy, and I've watched the first 6 episodes and loved it ... but I am still very reluctant to be fully enraptured by this drama and its characters, as I know I would be if I continued ... ah, why is this so complicated ... and there is Vampire Prosecutor , which is super awesome, but will end soon, too *sobsamilliontears*), so I have decided to be very excited about two upcoming dramas (I am not excited about I Miss You , which starts airing tomorrow, simply because I can't take all the tears): No 1: Jeonwoochi The official plot description reads as follows: " In the fictional idealist nation of Yuldo, established by the righteous bandit hero Hong Gil-dong, Jeon Woo-chi is a dosa , a Taoist wizard, who gained his powers by swallowing a gumiho fox bead.
