A-Li carefully moved up the terrain, one hemp-bound foot in front of the other, and he leaned heavily on his walking stick so as not to slip and fall. He passed by rows and rows of tea shrubs he had planted more about a year ago, and by force of habit, reached out to examine a stalk using the light from his lantern. They had trimmed the shrubs a fortnight ago and he was glad to note that this particular shrub had developed its new stems and leaves to his satisfaction.

Though by the sight of it, there was no severe damage. Ghost soldiers must have been destroyed before they had gotten as close as the gate. Getting off their swords, Bai Qian and Zilan were greeted by Changshan, who came rushing out from the front gate.

kakashi: New, new, new, new! I won't even try, it's overwhelming. JoAnne: Some of it may actually be next week? If so, this conversation will make no sense because those listings will disappear... It's still a gazillion new shows, Jo...   Trotwood: It's only been three days, and I'm already woefully behind. The only thing keeping from feeling drama frantic is imagining how frantic the subbers must be! SakiVI: I was fine trying during the week, but now, the one show I was really anticipating, Revolutionary Love, I've had no time for. I'm mad at myself.

Chapter 67 written by kakashi (With inserts from what moon-flower at Soompi remembered from TQ’s blog) 280’000 immortal years ago It was rather ironic, Shao Wan thought as she lay next to Mo Yuan, that they would end their immortal lives in such close proximity. She was somewhat surprised that she didn’t mind. In fact, it was … oddly comforting to have him beside her.

Chapter 16 written by Ligayacroft edited by Panda and kakashi With an awful groan, the last of the exits and inner passageways were sealed from above, throwing the tomb into semi-darkness leaving the people inside at the mercy of only the meager flickering candlelight. Panicked cries from the workers and artisans who were sealed inside the tomb reverberated across the eight floors of packed mud walls. The wailing sound traveled across rows and rows of terracotta soldiers, chariots, horses, officials, acrobats, strongmen and musicians that these men had spent years and years crafting without knowing these statues will be the silent witnesses to their deaths. The burning candles and rivers of mercury did not bode well for them either as the fumes terribly diminished the air quality inside the mammoth necropolis located underneath Mount Li.

Chapter 66 written by Panda edited by kakashi Mo Yuan sat at the bank of his favorite waterfall at Kunlun Mountain, hoping the steady hypnotic swish of water would help relieve some of his inner turmoil. I shouldn’t have let her go .

Chapter 65 written by Miniorchid with inserts by Chimera edited by Chimera Mortal Realm “When you’re done with the exams, we should start our family,” Li Ying suggested while setting the table for lunch. Die Feng looked up from his reading, bemused. “How many kids do you want to have?”

Trot:  I don’t think the new strategy worked, although I did remember quite a bit without having to watch completely the second time. There was SO much stare acting (SA) and very long sequences of no dialogue where we listened to people’s theme songs (TS) in multiple variations, including a music box version. Shuk: Now that the two of them are aware of each other. And are aware that the other is aware, does this mean any cute time? Yunno, without him getting arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Or that moral event horizon of sweet moments with your student. Kmuse: Is it wrong to wish that we had a two year time jump during one of their epic starefests? I really wish she was at least 18 so I could get aboard this ship. Even Jongsing has figured it out.

Chapter 19 Written By Unicorn Slippers and  DramaPanda Shi led Song Bai through the darkened streets of the village, his insistent tug on her hand and occasional shy smiles pulling her along like fish on a hook. Although the streets were nearly abandoned, they kept to the shadows, walking quietly along the alleyways between buildings. The villagers had all but disappeared; They had either gone home or had gathered in the local tavern. The building was marked by wide splash of light spilling from the doorway and the familiar hum of music drifting in a lazy cloud above the red tiled roof. The quiet sound of mortals speaking could be heard filtering through the melody, with an occasional bark of laughter punctuating the otherwise steady drone of voices.

Chapter 9 - The Dragon Ascends written by LalaLoop consulting by Juls Editing by kakashi It was dark. Yet the air was pleasant. It felt like he had been here before, long before. As he opened his eyes, he could see he was sitting under the shade of a stone arch and the outline of a pond in front. Clouds were floating freely around. Rubbing his eyes, he stood up, feeling strangely well, the pain from his injuries was gone. Slowly he walked to the pond and leaned over to see his reflection on the water surface. A few white lotus were floating back and forth in the pond. He took another few good looks around as recollections of this place started to come back to his blank mind. There was a sort of warm feeling around his shoulders and a faint flowery smell that was lingering.

Trotwood: It's the quiet before the storm. (HA) I'm hoping that Jo gets Monday off for the holiday because she is going to need it since NINE new shows are popping up next week. I'm already resigned that I will barely be able to watch any of them and will enjoy the relative calmness of this week's RAWR.  JoAnne: That would be a resounding 'nope.' I'll be at work on Monday, missing the Columbus Day Parade in Westerly, stressing over my viewing schedule to come.   SakiVI: I've been busy with mom and her obsession with Baba Candir, the Turkish version of What Happens to My Family, and catching up on work post-flu. But, I still made time for my dailies and one or two regular shows.

Chapter 63 written by kakashi “Mo Yuan, a word,” Father Immortal said after one of the philosophy classes. Mo Yuan bowed and stayed back, waiting. After everybody had left the classroom, Father Immortal beckoned his son to step closer. “You are unhappy about the arrangement?” he asked.

Chapter 62 written by kakashi edited by Panda When Father Immortal was dying, the Heavens wept for days and the Earth shook in sorrow. The passing of an Old one was the end of an era, an utterly devastating event. But is also was a time of reckoning. The frightening reminder that even their lives would eventually end, made many inhabitants of the immortal realms reconsider their ways and led, at least temporarily, to an upsurge in the eight virtues: filial piety, sibling harmony, dedication, trustworthiness, propriety, sacrifice, honor, and a sense of shame.

Chapter 14 written by LigayaCroft edited by Panda and kakashi A-Li left the Ninth Sky a local and returned a stranger. To think he was only gone for three days. After paying his respects to his parents and staying overnight with the twins, A-Li walked the golden pavement that lead to his Ziqing Palace and noticed something that had previously escaped his attention in his long, immortal life.

Chapter 13 written by LigayaCroft edited by Panda and kakashi A-Li waited at the servants’ gate for Ge Peng to arrive after he had asked the guard to surreptitiously summon her around. The girl presented herself a short moment later and was very apologetic for coming late.

Chapter 12 written by LigayCroft edited by Panda and kakashi A-Li felt he had been in the mortal realm for so long that he had forgotten so many things. Like, coming home wet and bedraggled earlier that morning when he could have conveniently dried himself up before coming in. Or, attending to a sick Xue Jiaolong and forgetting for a couple of mortal hours that he had the ability to cure her at will.

kakashi: A turtle, a new female character and some rather unexpected developments. JoAnne: Listen, fanfic is one thing - bestial porn is entirely another. Besides, what could you even do with a turtle? panda: I knew that turtle was going to be trouble the minute I laid my eyes on it! 

Chapter 61 written by kakashi consulting by MiniOrchid and Panda Cheng Yin had reserved one room in the one presentable inn for himself and Shao Wan, since they would have to spend several days in this mortal world and it was his conviction ‘not to mingle with the soldiers beyond the necessary’. His renewed and brazen attempt to get to share a room - or rather a bed - with her was extremely vexing, and Shao Wan saw herself forced to threaten the terrified innkeeper since she had little desire to sleep on the stairs of the overbooked joint. She flashed her dagger and told him she’d murder a random customer for an additional room - or more preferably, the innkeeper himself. Clearly, the poor man had never seen a female general in his life, and he did not know whether to look away in horror or stare at her in rapture.

Chapter 18 Written By Unicorn Slippers edited by DramaPanda Song Bai kept up her guard as the small band of warriors fanned out in front of her, the men loping ahead while Li Luo maintained a slower pace alongside her. She tried to study the woman without being too obvious, sneaking in glances when Li Luo was distracted by one of her men or a particularly outspoken villager. She was shorter than Song Bai and had the same raven hair and chestnut eyes as the residents of this settlement, but there was something more fierce and regal about her that was indefinable. Her black leather tunic and pants hugged her form, the dusky color-scheme broken up only by her knee-high, fawn colored boots. Her shoulder armor and wrist guards were thick and heavy, and were decorated with interlocking symbols. She carried a sword in her right hand and a long, curved dirk was sheathed at her waist. Chapter 8 - Yehua written by LalaLoop consulting by Juls editing by kakashi Yanzhi dropped on her knees, took Bai Qian’s injured arm and started to examine the scratches the Golden Lion had left. Her lips were tightly pressed together, as if trying to forget what they all had had to witness back in the forest. Bai Qian kept quiet, exchanging looks with Zilan once in awhile.

Trotwood: So for awhile there, it seemed I wasn't interested in anything. I wanted to watch Argon, but that looks like it's never going to be subbed. However, JTC clips have made me interested in Age of Youth (but really only because of the tall/short love pair) and I love Temperature of Love, still, and I really liked While You Were Sleeping. I went from only halfway watching a couple of dailies to fully watching 5 shows. I'm going to have to stop this soon. I'm not Jo. But I so want to watch Mad Dog when it comes out, and there seems to be lots of quirky--and maybe even some dark--comedies coming out (and I could use a laugh). What are people looking forward to the most? Go Back Spouses? Revolutionary Love? 20th-Century Boy and Girl? Witch's Courtroom? Chapter 60 written by kakashi “What is it, Y...Da-Ge,” Shao Wan snapped at Yue, who was trying to get her attention with furtive, yet clumsy hand signs. “It is urgent,” her guard whispered into her ear, “we need to return to the Obsidian Palace immediately. The Yellow King is there and he insists on seeing you.”
