kakashi: I was efficient this week at work but it was way too hot. We're all gonna die, aren't we. But I love Love & Destiny . JoAnne: It's okay. I gotta extra love things I spend my precious hours recapping on. 60 episodes. 2-3 hours per episode. 180 hours.   That is a very real commitment. I always end up loving (even if it's love/hate) the things we work on together because it's so much fun. So it's okay that I just think it's okay right now, right? Remember how much I hated Jang Bori until episode 20? And that Wife one. God, what was that called...well anyway, that one I hated beginning to end. But it was fun to hate it. Trotwood: I'm here. Struggling with the idea that summer is almost over and all the projects that I was supposed to complete before the students come back are not going to get done. kakashi: The Celestial hyenas are still out for Jiu Cheng's blood! And things in the Spirit Realm go major wrong. I'm so confused. Bunny: There, there... take a deep breath and look at that beautiful face down below... Feel better? ... What do you mean that only works on me? JoAnne: Not just you.

kakashi: Revelations! New secrets. A dog. Mr. Grumpy begins to smile. I LOVE this episode. Bunny: I had mixed feelings. Will be elaborated in rants below. Best part was definitely the puppers! (I don't even like little dogs, but this one sure was cute) JoAnne: I always said I didn't like little dogs, and then I had one for a dozen wonderful years. Pound for pound, the personality is outsize.

kakashi: This is heating up fast... or should we say cooling down? Ling Xi has already made herself indispensable in a completely un-stalkery way. In this episode, the anti-GoW faction makes a move. Thankfully, they're not very clever about it or else we'd have to fear for Jiu Chen who is not well at all. JoAnne: Get ready for the bitchiest dinner party EVER. Bunny: Even though Tianjun is a nice guy this time, there's always gonna be another Heavenly Asshat waiting around the bend.

kakashi: Much development in this third episode and lots of new characters too - I'll make a character page soon, it's getting confusing. In this episode, the God of War gets serious about finding out who Ling Xi really is, but he isn't exactly successful. Maybe because the little chatty fairy is already sneaking her way into his heavy, burdened heart? JoAnne: From your lips to GoW's ears, Sensei.  But please, PLEASE, let this not be a love burdened by guilt and resentment like some OTHER couple we can name. Bunny: Oh god, don't even get me started with them. Can I just say that I'm super happy this is turning out to be a slow burn kind of relationship -- unlike some OTHER couple who fell for each other in under 1 episode. 

Shuk: It's a Long Way to Tipperary, and a long time since I've joined RAWR. Blame it on a more intense RL with aging parents and increased responsibility. Despite this, I have been able to watch a few shows hither and thither. It's a good excuse NOT to get out in the weather and turn myself into a cinder while mowing the lawn. kakashi: Welcome back, Shuk! I'm watching a lot for my recent standards. It's so quiet at work (NO MEETINGS cause it's summer and everybody is away). I was super efficient last week even though I took two days off. Planning to go to the office early every day next week because it's gonna get HOT. Trotwood: I have been traveling, so I am not on any kind of regular drama viewing schedule. I'm also reading a lot more lately, so that gives me less time. I am sitting in my room all day today, trying not to feel guilty about not seeing more of the sites, but I'm exhausted and vacation should be relaxin, no? So I'm going to wat

kakashi: We're still in the set-up phase of course, but we're also getting a better feel for the main characters. Also, what the heck happened during that battle at Mount whatshisname? JoAnne: I am not certain, but it feels like maybe GoW is feeling ashamed, or guilty, or at least regretful . Or he just has acid reflux. Happens.  Bunny: I never seen reflux look so hot.

Trotwood: I am very proud of myself because the draft of this recap is 976 words shorter than the last draft. I may be able to cut even more here. Panda told me not to worry about it, but I do want people to read these recaps, which means I can't always be the most long winded person in this blog. Opening with a random picture of Hidetoshi Nishijima would get me to read anything, but I know it won't work with most people. Panda: The fact that you actually calculated and know the difference in word count between recap 1 and this just takes me out😃😃😃😃. Besides I am 100% sure you are not the only one who would follow Nishijima into fire.

kakashi: *cracks knuckles* Let's do this, friends! The 3310 universe is inviting us to gobble up the "sister"-story of our beloved Three Lives Three Worlds We're Still Writing Fanfic Years After it's Done and I feel obligated to do my very best to love it. They will drop two episodes Monday to Friday (10 a week. Yes. 10. A. Week), which is a crazy schedule so just forget right away that I will ever be able to keep up. I have a life.  JoAnne: I will at least drop in. If you recall, I was the only one here who liked Peaches but managed to keep her sanity. I may have to serve as that moderating influence again. Bunny: I'll just go ahead and take responsibility for bullying a certain somebody into recapping this ginormous 60-episode beastly thing ((RIP kakashi's life)). Also, it's my first time recapping so please be gentle!!! *curtsies*

kakashi: Summer time! Almost holiday time! Can't wait to go hiking. I'm already hiking in my mind. Trotwood: I'm scheduled to only do one hike this summer because I have piriformis syndrome; it's literally a pain in my ass. No really. Look it up.😖 Is it still hot there though? Not hot and ouch about your ass pain, I can relate, I've had the occasional sciatic nerve pain. It will be hot again at the end of the week but not as hot as before. Panda: WT..? Blogger ate my previous post 😨😕😕 Sigh. I am behind on everything but I also want to watch everything! What's a girl got to do to have 60 hours in a day? Need to continue with Designated President Jeonhaaaa and SearchWWW. Need to start Chang'an, Hotel De Luna, Watcher, Love and Destiny (not hearing good things about ep 1 though, but it's Nini and Chang Chen!!!!), NEF (heavily rumored to start tonight), GoGo squid, and Young Bloods (when subbed). I know I’ve said this before, but I really love this show. I can see myself doing a full marathon this coming winter, watching while wrapped up in a blanket and eating hot muffins or scones trying to replicate the warmth and joy that I’ve found in this series. Also, as I've said to Panda, I am thankful to this show for giving Hidetoshi Nishijima a role where he is allowed to smile. We probably won't see this for another two years. I am extraordinarily thankful to kinounaniresource for not only her wonderful subs, but absolutely topnotch commentary and unfailingly thoughtful and kind responses to her readers. There has been some controversy about sites using her subs and her judgment about other subs, but I've ignored all of that.

I watched Crisis: Special Investigative Squad in the summer of July 2017 the week after it had finished airing in Japan. I watched all ten episodes in one week and wanted more, and it did a good job helping me fill the void that Secret Forest had left. It was on my radar because I am a fan of Shun Oguri, but the show also made me an immediate fan of Hidetoshi Nishijima as many of you who read this blog already know. Hidetoshi Nishijima is now forever known as Trot's bae😀. It's so funny, but I didn't know this was where your love affair started. I started this cos of Shuuuuun! But I also came away with a huge liking for the entire team especially TB. It’s written by an award winning author, Kazuki Kaneshiro, who also wrote Border (starring Shun) and Caution, Hazardous Wife (in which Hidetoshi Nishijima plays the husband). Both of these shows are on my list of shows I’d like to recap for the blog. I had no idea that they were all written by the same person. Are

kakashi: Hi everyone, Jo is too busy to watch anything, which means: We'll just post very short RAWRs in Jo's absence :) I hope everybody is doing well. Trotwood: Well this is going to look very different without her since she's the one watching all the popular stuff while I mainly watch Trot stuff. SakiVI: I'm not watching anything except dailies these days, and they are a little hard to describe, unless you have strongly delineated characters like Perfect Boyfriend or HoeJo. SBS has yet to top Happy Sisters! Panda: Hi everyone! Hope you had a great 4th weekend. My neighbors started the fireworks on the 1st and have continued every. single. night. since. I heard they are going to do so for another 2 weeks. I swear, I feel like strangling them. Especially since they don't start till its dark which is around 10pm!!! Urgh.

I am feeling sad because we are at the penultimate episode. There is some talk about doing a sequel, but I don’t want any cast changes unless it’s an emergency ( for example the emergency cast change for Shiro's dad), so I don’t know how I would feel if they do it and only bring back half the cast. Once again we have a very poignant episode concentrating on the effect parents can and do have on their children through adulthood. We saw Kenji’s estranged relationship with his dad in the last episode. In this one, we go back to Shiro and his relationship with his parents, specifically what he perceives they want from him and an opportunity to rethink what he believes to be true.
