The Problematic of the Unproblematic

Trotwood: So many new shows out this week. So many shows that I want to like but did not. I'm starting to think it's just me because many people seem to be liking these shows. Instead, I'm finding comfort in webtoons. Are people watching any new shows? Also, I'm willing to have my mind changed about some of the shows that had a lot of buzz that I didn't like. Also, did anyone try River Where the Moon Rises ? I'm tempted because it looks like Ji Soo will finally get the girl! kakashi: I'm in the mountains. It's much too warm, the snow is melting in front of my eyes. Plus, there's Sahara dust in the air, everything looks weird. I've watched zero of nothing, unless you count my rewatch of Attack on Titan together with my kiddo. Trotwood: It's been a really really long time, so I thought that my complete disdain for Nark"s fanily would have lessened with time. Nope. Knowing there might be more coming, Wei Xiaolian tried to attract the five Bashe farther away from the town, and deeper into the swampy forest. With only eight daggers and five arrows left, she knew her chances were very slim. But since she could not outrun the serpents, she might as well burn her boats and minimize the fallout. Trotwood: I feel very fortunate to have been able to get the vaccine. All staff who work in testing sites in my state were on the list after first responders, health care workers, and nursing home employees. But boy dose #2 was a doozy. I haven't had body aches like that in forever. Most of my staff didn't look much better than the zombies in Kimi to Sekai ga Owaru Hi ni during our meetings on Thursday and Friday. On Thursday, I didn't even bother turning on my camera--reporting out from my bed. We were all laughing about it though because we realized how fortunate we are. kakashi: Switzerland is so slow that I will get my vaccine in May at the earliest. Hahaha. Not funny. My dad gets his first shot this Thursday though and I'm so glad about that.

The journey to Yongchang took about two weeks on foot, but with a horse it could be shortened to nine days. So, in a slight deviation from the rules of their sect, Wei Xiaolian took a horse with her and set off. Last night was spent under the stars. While she took all the necessary precautions and tried to remain vigilant, all the excitement of the day caused her to sleep soundly while tied to a fat branch above a tall tree. The following day, Wei Xiaolian was back on the road at sunrise, eager to find a traveler’s station so she could have something heavy and warm for lunch. By now, she was far enough from Lijiang to lose the radial protection of her grandfather’s staff, but instead of getting intimidated, it made her feel more determined....

Trotwood: I didn't watch much this past week or weekend, which is when I usually catch up. There was snow and snow day baking. Thus between the near 16 inches we got last Monday and the additional 8 inches this weekend, I didn't get to much. Started a Saturday Korean class, so there was homework to do as well. I did pick up some new shoes in between snow storms, but I'm behind in everything--even them--except for Manner of Death. kakashi: Is the pandemic good for Chen Kun or not? Please discuss. Oh, now I remember I wanted to watch and recap Yin and Yang Master before today (not the one with Chen Kun) but... my husband bought me another kitchen gadget last week, inspired by my loving fervor of my air fryer (who, by the way, is named "Gary"). It's a thermomix, we named him "Aquila". It has an internet connection and I'm a little afraid of it but I made brioche dough yesterday. It is still rising, but I will put it into the oven in about an hour. ...

Trotwood: Snow. snow. snow. As of three hours ago, we only had 12 inches (around 30 cm), but I'm not complaining because other people have had up to 17. It is still snowing pretty hard, too. I'm thankful that I don't have to go anywhere and no one has lost power. I'm looking for something fluffy to pick up where people don't annoy me. Suggestions? kakashi: Here it's rain, rain, rain. I went to the dentist today and it was anxiety inducing. Too many people about! I got take away for tonight though. I watched All Creatures Great & Small (Panda made me do it) over the weekend, it's cute. But I'm not in the mood to watch anything, I fast forward everything these days.
