Rants and Weekly Raves (RAWR) #401

Anne: The week continues moving on by like a speeding train...Unlike the very, very long cargo train that still runs through the middle of Houston, and right through some of the most expensive properties in the city. Can you imagine if you have to cross these train tracks on the way to work? I have seen people completely lose their minds when the train starts to slow down. It is great people watching when you are stuck in traffic for like 15 to 20 minutes.  I am still catching up on Korean crime dramas adapted from US TV shows, the newest one is Criminal Minds (Korea). But, let's get to the shows that I've watched in the past week. The Killer is Also Romantic Let's start this week with a cute, funny, and short drama that I LOVED! I've posted before about these super short dramas that Mango puts out usually without much fanfare. The actors/actresses are never anyone I've ever seen. Sometimes the shows are horrible, but quite a few I found to be quite good. Take this

Anne: As I was updating the post number, I realized that we've reached 400! I really wish I had something tremendously interesting to post for this week. But alas, my work continues to drive me insane.  Now in the middle of this work, I have a little 5 year old asking me to buy him his next planet that he...I mean "I", can dig out the treasures to be displayed on his bookshelf. Now, he was a little short on money because he spent his money getting the last two planets, and he only had 5 dollars left. He proceeded to inform me that he wished he could loose more teeth so he can get more money to buy stuff. I looked at him and say "You don't have to lose a body part for that, you can just clean your room". Then he looked back at me for two seconds and said, "The tooth fairy isn't real right?" I'm not even sure how that response was anywhere near logical to my suggestion. While I did watch quite a few shows this week, unfortunately, mostly what

Anne: This weekend I spent a good part of it helping the five year old "mine" the earth. It's basically a planet version of those excavator rocks for miniature dinosaurs. So now I have a half mined earth sitting in a layer of white dust in the middle of my husband's baking pan. So, I'll have to finish digging out all the loot to be able to use the baking pan for dinner one day this week. And like all our projects, I was the one who spent most of the time chiseling away at the "earth" and retrieving the precious stones. I am enjoying it much more than I thought I would. It is extremely satisfying as I take the little pick and scrap the "earth" away from each stone until they are freed.  This week will be an extremely short post as I spent most of the week working as usual and watching one new show.  Again My Life Like the other Korean dramas on Viki, this follows a similar format of  >1 hour/ episode and with only two episodes broadcasted eve

Anne: Another boring week with a lot of work went by. Although I did see a horrid sight this past Saturday as I was driving my MIL and my son to their hair cut appointments. If you have ever lived in South Texas, you probably have seen the massive amounts of Oak trees scattered around. And right now, it's pollen season. I'm used to seeing my car covered in a light dusting, or sometimes a heavy dusting, of yellow. However, driving down a street of oak trees, I noticed a strong wind stirring the trees. Next thing I saw, the entire air outside my car (thank goodness I always set the air to circulate inside) turned yellow. For anyone with allergies, this was the stuff of nightmares! Hoping everyone has had time to adjust to our collective disappointment of  Bridgerton  season 2. And now, let's talk about some of the shows I managed to squeeze in this week. Decreed by Fate I watched all 16 episodes of this incredibly silly drama. It is definitely not the best quality, the editin
