The Problematic of the Unproblematic

kakashi: Bai Qian's heavenly trial comes to an end and I love every minute of it. Let her next life begin!  JoAnne: So, is there someone who knows what the trials will be? Because people know when they're coming - how though?

JoAnne: Oy, we're so drunk on Peach wine these days. We have never, ever been like this. Mark Chao, you mystical unicorn of a man - EVERYONE loves you. Trotwood: I love him and I'm not even watching the show! I go on twitter and there are at least 25 posts about him every day. I can't escape. It is a bit lonely on the outside, and I'll feel even lonelier when I get to start watching this summer.  But wait. Have you guys even watched anything else this week? kakashi: Well, JoAnne keeps up the good work, I don't :D I just recap nowadays. Like a mean little machine .

kakashi: Heav'n has no Rage, like Love to Hatred turn'd, Nor Hell a Fury, like a Woman scorn'd. Like so often in CDrama, someone turns fully mental as they wish death upon their rival. Will sweet love be able to save her? JoAnne: I'm thinking I'd enjoy a drama based on two bitchy second leads fighting it out to the death, never even noticing while the OTP skips happily off into the sunset. First season could be Evil Xue Girl and Su Jin from Peach?

kakashi: A Prince is born! It should be a happy occasion, but it is clear that Su Su is saying a very long goodbye. I guess it's about time. End the suffering. JoAnne: Damn, this is going to hurt.

kakashi: Thunderbolt and lightning - very very frightening me. JoAnne: Magnifico! (But he sort of looks like a grumpy waiter offering you a tray of pastries, doesn't he?)

kakashi: This is by far the worst episode yet (but I love it for what it is - brutal). Ye Hua is forced to do something unforgivable by that personification of evil named Su Jin and it's the beginning of the end for him and Su Su. Well, to be honest, it was kind of hopeless before that, but now it's definite. JoAnne: He does this thing, he doesn't even explain it to her. It's really unforgivable.

kakashi: Our team is still hunting down the human trafficking ring. They find a witness, but protecting him is more of a challenge than they thought. Ji Bai may or may not have paid for this knowledge with his life. I vote for not. JoAnne: If Ji Bai goes, so do I. Sorry, Husband. No, I kid. I could never leave him. Eleanor: Ji Bai, do you wanna come and do laundry with me please? Sorry, I got distracted. I doubt they'd kill Ji Bai off, at least not this early on.  Trotwood: I could see his character dying but only in the last or penultimate episodes. But look at those cheekbones and that jaw and those tendons in hs neck. Yowza.

kakashi: Li Yuan and his stupid rebels make it necessary that Ye Hua leaves the Nine Heavens for more than half a year and that doesn't help, you know, things. The other ship makes a tiny bit of progress though. There is a kiss! On an unlikely place.  JoAnne: I'm sorry, I just keep staring at how smooth their hair is and how even their complexions are.

kakashi: An incredible episode, in which Li Luo refuses to have sex with Kasuo. SakiVI: He was rather sweaty. I was a bit put off myself.  JoAnne: I bet he cries after sex.

kakashi: We witness the slow but steady erosion of trust between Su Su and Ye Hua. I see all his mistakes, but he is honestly trying. He still thinks he's got this. But the Nine Heavens are like a minefield and all the mines are armed. JoAnne: And Ye Hua appears to be visiting for the first time, because he seriously has not got a clue how to do this. But damn, he's cute when he's worried. He'd be cuter if he weren't so ineffectual, though.
