The Problematic of the Unproblematic

kakashi: Fengjiu finally gets it. I repeat: Fengjiu finally gets it! Let's see how long it lasts, haha. There is no Ye Hua in this episode, because he's currently about 1 year old, but we get plenty of sad, barely coping Shifu instead. *cries a river* JoAnne: Dijun, this pinkish shade is nice.

kakashi: Mo Yuan, Mo Yuan, MO YUAN!!!! (Sorry, Ye Hua, Mo Yuan fangirl here) JoAnne: One glance and I was all 'oooh but the facial hair, oh yes, I remember!'

kakashi: Even Van Gogh drew peach blossoms! SakiVI: will anyone notice anything non-peach? JoAnne: Well, we do. Notice things that are non-peach. Is that not enough? I think you might be the only other one who does. That's only temporary, though. Anyway, I'm just waiting for Fighter of the Destiny with my baby, and Friend to Jaehyo, Luhan (Squee!). Trotwood: I feel guilty because I feel as though I need to be the spokesperson for the 5 people on the planet not watching Peach (I will this summer!), but I'm not watching much right now because of end of semester crazy.

kakashi: I must apologize to all of you for the amount of gifs in this post. We all know this episode has some of the best OTP moments of the entire drama and I just couldn't help myself. If you use up all your monthly data, I am sorry but not sorry. And I am not taking any responsibility for any other damage like exploding ovaries either.  JoAnne: I wonder if there'll be an increase in actresses who will be angling for opportunities to have on-screen romances with Mark after all this is over.

kakashi: Bai Qian finds out what Ye Hua did for Mo Yuan: that was quick! She is both horrified and extremely grateful. Maybe he is too weak to worry too much about Mo Yuan as a rival? In any case, he is clearly very happy to have her near him.  JoAnne: I think his skin is even better when he's lying down. That's crazy, right? It is.

kakashi: A slow-ish episode, in which we see just how bad Ye Hua is and in which Bai Qian expresses fears and doubts that her Shifu will ever come back. JoAnne: I think her attention is misdirected...

SakiVI: Again, thank you to WS for the subs! So, we get a bit more setup in this, and Luo Luo's character gets fleshed out a bit more, and, we see Mr Evil a bit more, and we get a Mr Icy for a bit. Come to think of it, there are bits and bits and bits in this. kakashi: I was struck in this episode by how stylish this version of Ice Fantasy is . JoAnne: They upgraded Kasuo to a big-boy flute, I see.

kakashi: Time to meet the four magnificent, ferocious, very bad CGI mystical beasts! They like arms for breakfast. After being badly wounded by them, Ye Hua goes and uses up his life force for an elixir that will revive Mo Yuan. JoAnne: I just spent several minutes wondering if it would be inconsiderate to say 'here, let me give you a hand with that' to someone who only had one of them.

kakashi: Bai Qian FINALLY realizes that she has feelings for Ye Hua frees the poor man from his anguish - at least the bodily anguish. He still does not believe she loves him. And he is about to do something really, really dangerous. AGAIN. He never learns, does he. JoAnne: Oh but the smile, the smile. Look at the smile.

JoAnne: It rained all week and work was a bit stressful. Instead of dramas, it seems I slept. kakashi: No drop of rain here, but lots of sunshine and lots of real life stuff. Instead of watching stuff, I'm still busy recapping. Peach Blossom Madness is the last drama I will recap at a crazy schedule like this. Never again! Trotwood: this week has been exhausting, ending with a threat of snow, which tho didn't materialize in the amount forecasted was enough of a pall to mess up plans. Happy April Fools! Still, I'm feeling the loss of Chief Kim quite keenly. I'll repeat here what I said on twitter-I want another fun drama with people older than my kids. In drama world it's like we can have fun and love only in teen years and in our 20s, you disappear once you get married, and then you're 35 and your life turns into the Defendant. SakiVI: I would like some snow.
