The Problematic of the Unproblematic

Anne: Happy Tuesday...or whatever day it is when I finally press the "publish" button on this posting. So...I have finally come to the conclusion that I'm overworked. School has finally started again, and I'm looking to plan some personal time off where I will be ALL ALONE for about six hours every day. Is it sad that I am REALLY looking forward to a few days of peace and quiet? What will I do for a whole SIX hours?!  Ok, enough of me looking forward to whenever I will be taking off work. Let's focus on what I have been doing the last two weeks or so. I'm still watching a lot of the amateur dramas on YouTube (and what is this drug crime epidemic going on in China with people drugging people for sex???). But I did managed to catch a few dramas here and there...although I have let some others slide. Now, let's start this week's update. Anne: Happy Tuesday everyone! For some odd reason last week, I got a bug in my head to look up my old writings from high school to around when I was in graduate school. And boy...my high school story was horrid!!! It's like an Asian drama with more unbelievable plots and plots twists then what I'm watching now. Yes, let's just say nothing was rooted in reality. Now...not to say that the later writings are any more realistic, but I think they are better. Maybe I'll pick up where I left off twenty years ago and see what I can make out of these stories. Most of them, the hand written notes on the plot are somewhere either buried with my book collection or with my piano books in storage. Now, I did still spent a good amount of time watching those short drams on YouTube. I don't know why I'm so mesmerized by them. The abusive plots on some of them are WAY too much. I couldn't handle the ones where the ML was the abusive one. Seriously, how anyone can love someone...

Anne: Hello Drama lovers! I am one day late, but I just had to come on here and talk about two shows that I've been watching in the past week. So...without further ado...let's begin! My Lovely Liar My Korean drama slump is over!!! I was going to wait this out a bit until more episodes aired on Viki...but I ended up taking a peek...and didn't stop until I finished the two episodes that were available. I am in LOVE with this show, with the FL, the ML, the FL's driver, and the group of shop owners. And there is a deer/moose that "attacks" people...(so funny)...the thing looks like a zombie deer. Mok Sol Hee has an unique ability, which apparently was given to her because her mother prayed to every god she knew when Sol Hee was in the womb to give her a gift that can make money without any training required. Anne: Happy Tuesday Everyone! We are getting close to the end of July and ... it is still freaking hot in South Texas. And getting hotter... The last two weeks pretty much has gone on as usual, with nothing too exciting to report. The 6 year old spent the last two weeks without camp or anything else to do, so he has become a couch potato and fulfilled his summer vacation wish to play games all day. Hopefully this summer doesn't rot his brain. But then again, I don't ever remember doing anything else during my summer vacations but watch TV, and my brain turned out pretty ok... Except for my short term memory loss... Last Thursday, I literally forgot what I wanted to say, as I was saying it. I probably sounded like I lost my mind! Besides catching up on the new shows, I've been spending a lot of time watching the short web dramas on YouTube. Anne: Happy Tuesday everyone! Hoping that everyone, in the US, had a somewhat relaxing 4th of July. It's weird having the holiday on a Tuesday, some people got Monday off, some didn't, and then there is the theater summer camp that operated through all 5 days. Let's take a guess how close I was to sending the 6-year old to "camp" on a holiday... But I didn't because I did promise him that the camp was only NINE days. Now...you would think that with ALL this extra "vacation" days on my hand that I would have caught up to some shows...well...I did...but they were all standup comedy. Yep, somehow my YouTube feed started recommending Mandarin standup, which I didn't think it existed, until YouTube somehow read my mind and decided to test out interest by "introducing" some shows on my feed. And about two days later, when I came up for air, I realized that my Mandarin wasn't SO bad...I got the jokes! At work, I'm working through my ow...

Anne: Another week goes by...and South Texas continues to suffer from a heat wave... And a hail storm at the same time. It happened last week, over 100F outside, and it hailed. Granted, the hail didn't last very long and turned into heavy rain, but it lasted enough that my husband decided to move his car under cover. I just stayed dry inside the house, as that is why we pay for car insurance.  Besides the crazy weather outside, I have finally finished the first 3 weeks of being a space camper's chauffer. However, on my very first day off from work and the 6 year old's "off" week, we are going BACK to NASA because he wants to do all the other stuff that they have for visitors. I told him that if he wants to be an astrophysicist, he needs to learn a lot more math. My mundane life of work and home is barely broken by the potential return of some interesting dramas. Anne: Happy Tuesday everyone! Well... my drama draught continues, and I haven't quite worked up any enthusiasm to watch any of the new shows that has aired lately, not even those in my favorite genre.  The summer season has started, and that means he 6 year old has started a series of summer camps. His favorite, by far, is the space camp at NASA. This was last week's schedule, for 6 to 7 year olds. From this, you would think these kids were going to colonize Mars! Well... I guess you need to train them young...after all, it's going to take some time to travel there. He's already made plans to volunteer as a camp counselor when he's older. While I'm battling my obligations as a camp uber driver and my crazy work issues, I just haven't gotten around to take any interest in the new dramas. Anne: Hope everyone in the US had a good 3 day weekend. I decided to take Tuesday and Wednesday off, as these were the last two days of school, and I'd figured that it was my last chance for some quiet, alone time during the day. Well...best laid plans... The hubby came home early (at 11am) because due to the Monday holiday, there wasn't much to do since nothing was being delivered on Tuesday. And then on Tuesday, the almost 7 year old wanted to be off school early after the classroom party. Sigh...so...I ended up spending most of my "alone" days...NOT alone. I'm now looking for a short business trip as a way to get some alone time... If I can't get any alone time...let's just do the opposite! Anne: Happy Tuesday Drama Lovers! I missed last week's post, not so much because I had a lot to do, but because I am in a drama slump. I was hoping something would catch my interest this week, but that didn't happen. It is difficult to explain why. I have a lot that I've started, but nothing that is captivating enough to continue. Instead, what I'm been watching is the variety show Keep Running . Bai Lu and Charlie Zhou are cracking me up!  So...as I buried myself in variety shows and random crime documentaries on Netflix, I don't really have a lot to update. Oh No! Here Comes Trouble But I did finish this last week, and it was VERY satisfying. This show is quite good. Not my swoony type of show, nor is it filled with romance. Anne: Happy Tuesday Everyone! Well...I am still battling the slug invasion. Although they are certainly much smaller than over a month ago. And due to a potential family of wild bunnies that may be living under our little garage apartment, or somewhere else in the yard, we haven't sprayed the outside of the house, so now I also have tree roaches taking short vacations across my floor.
