The Problematic of the Unproblematic

You're describing my current problem with KDrama, JoAnne! Puppies just don't do it for me. Not one of them. I need them above 30 and post-army. Where are my guys?! And come on, Joo Sang-wook as weird-masked prosecutor doesn't count. DAMN, I want him in TEN goddamitcantheymakeithappenalready?! Jaehyus (formerly S@ki6): TEN was that good, eh? It's complicated .

Why is it so shocking that the guy you're falling for has your ex-fiance's heart???! I don't get that. Fuck this "oh, but I can't sure whether I truly love YOU" shit! Who cares?! This whole plot is so AAARRLJLGH constipated/contrived. And SORRY, there is no investment company in the world who would go to those length to bankrupt a company. WHY WOULD THEY?! Bottom line: this drama went from very bad to EXTREMELY BAD. Over and out. (Okay, the Kang Min-ho coupons were very cute) Yes, they were adorable. He is adorable. Every week, he's more adorable. His adorableness is in direct opposition to the horribleness of Gollum and this very unrealistic plot. Yes, I choose to argue that the business machinations are unrealistic, and I let slide the heart that somehow adds character traits and mannerisms to another human. Whatever! Look at me. There's me and coupons. It's not all bad.

CutieSoo is EEEEEEEVIL. Over and out (=shortest summary of any drama episode ever) He really is. It's very sad, in a way, for those of us who love CutieSoo. We even found a way to have sympathy for Aoki, remember? I guess it's good for him to get to play a different kind of character... sigh... Does Yoon Hyun Min rue the day he accepted a role that would test our love for him?

kakashi: Jang Bori seems to be airing in Singapore! Every day, we get about 2500 additional hits on Bori Bori posts. I hope you're enjoying the crazy ride, people. I know we did. But no, Kim Ji-hoon... it's fine that you don't have a new drama. Do NOT SIGN for ANY WEEKENDERS. JoAnne: It's been long enough though that I'm actually anxious for him to be in another crappy drama that will I will hate for a long time, but eventually grow to love. Or at least not hate. Yes :( Poor baby. Give him work! Okay, if it's to be another family drama, so be it. Apart from that ... lots of new stuff starting these days! Which means lots of old stuff ending. OH THANK GOD IT'S OVER! (So ... these women, you know how they're supposed to be unkind? But it's one big happy kind family in the end. I'd say: FAIL. Only Rim isn't there in the end. I think he went to America. And never came back). I don't see the not-quite mistress. Did she die?  (no, I think she was miraculously cured) I'll save my kind/unkind thoughts for the end of this. We know these women aren't real because no woman would look that happy if Rim left.

Oh dear, this drama is so bad if it isn't about SoNotPaksa and his Innocence. I might stop watching for real and go with our story. It has worked before. Because I know what we like. This. This is what we like. More, please.

This is now officially the drama that never ends. JoAnne, we will be stuck with it until the day we die. Sawry. It helps that it's Rim's face.  Rim wonders when it became his face we watched for, and not the apple butt

All that licking of things ... I mean lollipops. It makes me wonder whether Min-ho brushes his teeth often enough. He'll get cavities! Lollies are the worst. I thought gum was the worst. Behind the scenes, though, Jung Kyung Ho IS concerned about his dental health

I think it's about time to ask: what wrong with that teacher-woman who also happens to be Rim's mother? She's acting completely insane. I am pretty sure I would hate this drama if I watched it. I haven't watched this in weeks - it was interfering with my ability to believe in the story WE are creating, which is much, much better.  I do keep forgetting there are other people in this drama, though. Does she look more pale than normal?  Is she going to die in the drama?

kakashi: I was spoiled by HanCinema! I'm sooooo aaaangry! I immediately blocked them on Facebook cause I can't have that happen again. Now, all the tension is gone and I was so going to enjoy this episode. JoAnne:  Well I had no idea what was coming.  Although I do already know now that a lot of people die in the NEXT episode and that the ending sucks, but after this episode I really don't care.  And since I watched this episode before writing my comments for 16,17, or 18, I think my no longer caringness showed there.  Guess what? In the wonderful world of Soon-Jung, you hire thugs to beat up protestors and you propose to a girl you have fancied forever even though she has told you very clearly she just wants to be friends. And there is much more WTF. Sigh. Still. We watch. And we feel for Min-ho. Even when he dry-humps a pillow. I am laughing so hard right now because while I thought he looked funny, that is not what came to mind at that moment - but now I cannot un-see it that way. I look 12, suck lollipops, and dry-hump pillows. Wanna date me?

Oh great, it's that time of the month. I mean year. Elections. Also, there's close to no Rim in 20 and that's why we're combining the two episodes. Do they have elections every year? How do they get anything done? Next season, on The Bachelor...

I continue to be amazed that I am so enthralled by a drama with such a 0815-script. Yeah, you got to look that one up, cause that's something only people in German speaking countries use. Also, we get to meet Gollum (that name is used here courtesy of maxqnz@maxqnz) in this episode! It's true! I love this drama too and it's totally due to the actors, because the story isn't anything all that different. You're right about that. I did look up 0815 - do you know it refers back to the type of weapon German soldiers were issued? A totally ordinary, run of the mill thing. Until you get these guys involved and then... we fall in love. It's good that we love him, Jung Kyung Ho thinks...but IS he really in an '0815' drama?
